Mediatized Sapiens: Communicational knowledge

Mario Carlón 124 tinian politics). As we will see ahead, this issue is relevant to our analysis not only because of the topic’s importance but also be- cause we detected a singular behavior of one of these hashtags, the so-called #LegalAbortion – we refer to it in the Annex - Figure 3. The square (La Plaza) Ethnographic research was carried out in the Plaza del Congreso through a photographic record that allowed obtaining two very significant results, one about the mediatization and the other about the disposition of the main actors/enunciators9. Thus, we detected, on the one hand, a media “staging” because giant screens were set up to broadcast the event. And, on the other, the positioning of the main groups of individual actors that were present that day. The mediatization: several “giant screens” broadcasted what was happening inside the building in the Plaza, playing a very important role because they established a first ordering of the public space for social actors/enunciators. It was because the actors/speakers stood in front of the different screens to be able to see and hear the president. Social actors/enunciators: it was possible to determine the place where some of the principal social groups in the square were located because they came to it with flags and identifying signs (many were also able to identify themselves by their clothes). 9 Research and analysis were carried out by Josefina de Mattei.
