Mediatized Sapiens: Communicational knowledge

Mario Carlón 126 speech. We stop, in this text, in two: one “ascending” (up) and another “descending” (down), and it also showed a counter-cur- rent of meaning in particular. “Ascending” circulation: days before the event, accounts of the Casa Rosada, which is the government house, had installed the #AsambleaLegislativa2020. This hashtag rose from the networks to the mass media, particularly to the official Ar- gentinian television channel, TvPública, because, as the journal- ists pointed out in the broadcast, they joined that hashtag (they also shared #AbortoLegal2020). In this way, by not generating its own hashtag, the hypermedia circulation was installed in the media linked not only to Frente de Todos but in particular to President Alberto Fernández. Despite this, #AsambleaLegislativa2020 did not become the one that brought together the larg- est amount of content production, a place that was occupied by #TodosConAlberto, which was shared by La Cámpora. “Descending” circulation: During his speech, President Fernández pronounced a phrase that had rapid and widespread circulation, which is still remembered: “We are a government of scientists, not CEOs.” Immediately the expression descended to social media and became a Trending Topic on Twitter. In addi- tion, the president’s phrase generated rapid counter-currents in the circulation of meaning. One expression of these counter-cur- rents was a meme published by the fake Internet user Dr. Víctor Tutú, who shared a photo of trade unionists invited to the venue taken from the broadcast with the text: “We are a government of scientists, not of CEOs, but of REO’s” (see Figure 5 below). As it is historical, the satirical and humorous dimension came to deconstruct the social event from different angles (the example we provided arose from a determined political opposition).
