Mediatized Sapiens: Communicational knowledge

Transformations in organizational communication were examined by research in graduate programs, which captured the marks of the pandemic in the work environment of companies, especially in the rela- tionships of their professionals with their users (OLIVEIRA; SOARES, 2021); ethnographic observations showed the effects of the pandemic on the transformation of popular festivals, such as the São João festivities in the northeast (TRIGUEIRO, 2021); resistance strategies on the pandemic, within the scope of practices – such as some from quilombola communities –, were de- scribed (TESSAROTTO; HEBERLÊ, 2021), by field trip of pro- fessors and students. Anthologies were made in the format of cordel literature, to be used in the classroom – bringing together texts written by the students and professors about Covid – but according to the logic, nomenclature, and universe of life of the local social groups themselves; the religious media environ- ment did not escape the circulation of enunciative constructions about the pandemic, as their crafts became permeated by the pain caused by conjunctures and the world of life (SBARDELOT- TO; BORELLI, 2021; SOUZA, 2021; and CUNHA, 2021). Profes- sors joined community-based mediatization circuits, participating, in real-time, in the new radio-television conversation about the pandemic created by the media alongside experts in the field of health. University experts from various fields of knowledge participated in discussion forums – mediatized in several for- mats, involving the pandemic from the angles of their special- ties. Some of them, given the frequency with which they were heard on TV news, became a kind of “captive consultants.” Work- ing groups focused on curricula reforms, welcoming subjects that converged with communication problems, whose contents emanated from the interventions of specialists, in which the problem of information and understanding about the virus, etc. was expressed in an intense and interrogative way. Forums were created, including academic support, to dismantle fake news trajectories about the pandemic. The insertion of these refer- ences allows us to remember that it was research in action that brought reports of how the social fabric constructed meanings
