Mediatized Sapiens: Communicational knowledge

José Luiz Braga 54 currences, gestures, perceptions, and conjectures, social sectors critically examine the ways of making and circulating knowledge and information. Critical observation is what characterizes this second level. 7. Conclusions The discussion of the two departing elements – the comprehensive characterization of the species as sapiens; and the specific issue of mediatization – can now be completed. We presented the objective of elaborating a communicational re- flection on this correlation so that both terms are articulated by a productive strain. For that, we activated the concept of learning as a medium-term between the two elements. Having devel- oped the connections, it is now a matter of observing angles of heuristic and/or praxeological inference from the reflections elaborate T d h . e general categorization Homo sapiens is dynamized by learning in a communicational view, articulating human diversity, and allowing the adaptive exercise in different circum- stances. Such learning is specified in the historical circumstance. A peculiarity of our knowledge about mediatization is its recent constitution, still developing its communicational possibilities. More than theorizing in an explanatory way about what hap- pens, we must understand the logic of this situation in what it requires in specific learning, in heuristic and praxeological terms. The main issue for these conclusions is to examine pos- sible heuristic advances in comparison between specific historical-cultural and communicational situations – contemporary technological mediatization –, and the long-term processes re- ferring to characteristics of the sapiens species. The perceptions that follow are the result of reflections in the body of the article. .1. The first aspect is a need to investigate what makes the current situation of mediatization specific, in contrast to the general set, in comparison with previous circumstances.
