Pedro Gilberto Gomes 164 tant religious institutions, allowing transcendences to emerge (cf. Faxina & Gomes, 2016). In this relation, there will be a dia- logue with the object to determine the most appropriate method for working with it. The second movement will address the understanding that society (and researchers with it) has of concepts such as so- cial media, mediatization, media processes, religious discourse, digital reality, and algorithms. This movement will be accom- plished by visiting the main scholars who have dealt with the various topics. The academic production of master’s and doctoral stu- dents on the subject will be consulted. The third movement will be a field study, with interviews with some of the main managers of Christian Churches, seeking to determine why and for what purpose their Church has ventured into the digital media field, participating in social media, and creating platforms. What does social media mean for churches? What has changed in the use of these networks compared to the use of the media before? Has the understanding changed? Or does the vision remain the same? The fourth movement will be to understand the phe- nomenon based on the theoretical framework discovered, as well as to work with and analyze the results of the interviews conducted. The aim is to understand how Christian religious in- stitutions are moving today in an algorithmized world. References BORELLI, Viviane.
