In advance, it specifies three methodological principles that underlie the approach described as socio-sym- bolic. It then discusses and attempts to characterize the notion of platform oftenmentioned today, showing that it is part of both the discontinuity and the continuity of a number of social logics of information-communication that have arisen previously.
