Viviane Borelli She is an associate professor at the Department of Communica- tion Sciences and the Graduate Program in Communication at Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM). She coordinates the research group Media Circulation and Communication Strategies (Cimid) and the research project “Societies in me- diatization: circulation, discourses and platforms”. She supervises undergraduate, master’s and doctoral research projects that focus on analyses of the processes of mediatization and circulation, as well as methodological experimentation and the development of research strategies. She also works and coor- dinates teaching and extension projects at UFSM. She is the academic director of Ciseco – International Center for Semiotics and Communication.
