Anatomy of polarization and communicational barbarism 81 In this context, the conditioning of the effects of meaning by the instance of recognition in the circulatory processes is configured based on the structuring of a “supercode” (Braga, 2020). Here we raise the possibility of adding circulatory processes to the concept, analyzing how the super code acts through a “de-circulation”, as a specific interactional process promoted within polarized information bubbles. We propose a systemic understanding of these circu- latory processes, which is based on three levels: 1) structural level, 2) semantic level, and 3) processes level, as shown in the following table (Figure 1). The aim is to develop an initial outline for a media anatomy of the far right in Brazil, which is necessary to understand the specific and generic processes that are taking shape in the Brazilian communication scenario today. Structural level: the extremist mediasphere Several authors in the field of sociology and political science have tried to frame the phenomenon of the “new right” (Ortellado & Solano, 2016; Duda da Silva, 2018; apud Ratier, 2020) or the “ antipetist right” (Ortellado & Ribeiro, 2018 apud Ratier, 2020).
