Abstract: This article analyzes what happened with the hyper- mediatization and the circulation of meaning in the presenta- tion of President Alberto Fernández in the National Congress in March 2020. Three moments were analyzed: before, during and after the speech. We analyzed the circulation of meaning from social networks to mass media and from mass media to social networks in the vertical-horizontal direction (ascending, de- scending and horizontal). The circulation was incessant during the three moments. An ethnographic analysis of what happened at the Plaza del Congreso was also carried out and the main so- cial actors were identified. The results show that there was a strong pre-construction of the event through hashtags for and against the President and on one of the issues he referred to, abortion. Also, social actors who were not present in the plaza, mainly in favor of abortion, had an intense production of content after the President referred to this issue. Keywords: Hypermediatization. Resumo: Este artigo analisa o que aconteceu no nível da hiper- mediatização e da circulação de sentido na apresentação do pre- sidente Alberto Fernández no Congresso Nacional em março de 2020. Três momentos foram analisados: antes, durante e depois do discurso. E foi analisada a circulação do sentido das redes so- ciais para os mass media e dos mass media para as redes sociais no sentido vertical-horizontal (ascendente, descendente e hori- zontal), que foi incessante durante os três momentos. Também foi realizada uma análise etnográfica do ocorrido na Plaza del Congreso e identificados os principais atores sociais. Os resul- tados mostram que houve uma forte pré-construção do evento por meio de hashtags a favor e contra o presidente e sobre um dos temas a que se referiu, o aborto. Além disso, os atores sociais que não estiveram presentes na praça, principalmente a favor do aborto, tiveram uma intensa produção de conteúdo depois que o presidente se referiu ao assunto.
