Identity as a narrative construction: LGBTQIA+ representation on TV show “Amor & Sexo”
Abstract
LGBTQIA+ representation and representativity have been the focus of studies in contemporary times from point of view of the humanities and social sciences. The proposal of this article is to understand the presence of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transvestite, transgender, queer, intersex, agender and other bodies on the scene would have influenced changes in the way of dealing with discussion around sexuality and gender in a TV show. The empirical object will consist of the edition dated March 02, 2017 of the entertainment attraction "Amor & Sexo", aired by Rede Globo de Televisão, qualitatively evaluating the participations of LGBTQIA+ social actors and actresses invited by the television production. With the contribution of an audiovisual analysis of the episode, a literature review is conducted to know about the role of television entertainment in the diffusion of the diversity of this group's agendas.
